Description
St. John the Baptist, relative of Jesus, was born with the purpose of baptizing and advising people to "Repent" and turn back from their evil ways before the judgement day. He lived alone in the wilderness, wearing clothes of camel's hair and eating locusts and honey. He foretells the coming of Jesus..."one who will baptize you with the Holy Spirit." He baptizes Jesus himself in the Jordan as the skies open up and a voice says, "Thou art my beloved Son, in thee I am well pleased." John is eventually beheaded in a plot twist after condemning Herod for his incestuous marriage.
